Worm Soup
Glorious,
DNA delectable,
molecules changing places,
neither wanderer nor wonder.
In a tepid, liquid dance,
remaking my lowly self—
creation in destruction.
Worm gravy,
liquid life recipe
in a transformation prison.
No going back—aiming higher.
Breaking free—the final push,
bursting my chrysalis crucible.
Perched wet,
perched dry,
hallowed in flight.
wow, thats awesome! Are you published? You should be...
ReplyDeleteThanks. Before I started teaching, I was pursuing my writing. I have an essay in a compilation put out by Bethany House. I'm between Mother Teresa and Robert Schuler, which should count for something! :-) I thought I should change my name to And More, because on the cover it lists all the important people, then says "And More." :-)
DeleteOther than that I was published in a bunch of Sunday School papers and mags. I did several things for Campus Crusade's on-line women's mag. I'll send you the link. With teaching and helping direct the home ed dept, my life has been so busy. I started this blog with a class I was doing at the local college a year or so ago, and it was fun to do my own things again rather than just teach kids how to do it. The I started the Wordpress blog last October, and it has taken off moreso. It is fun and keeps the ideas generating just having a dealine I am giving myself.
